¡HOLA, CHICA! LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED BY TAKING A LOOK INTO TODAY’S TOPIC: HOW TO MARKET YOURSELF ONLINE AS A MICRO INFLUENCER! AS ALWAYS, DROP A COMMENT IN THE COMMENT SECTION OF THIS POST. THAT WAY, WE CAN ALL KEEP THE PARTY GOING AND GENUINELY LEARN VALUE FROM EACH OTHER AS INFLUENCERS!!!
UNFORTUNATELY, COVID-19 IN 2020 HAS FORCED MANY SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS TO PIVOT ONLINE. ACCORDING TO THE E-COMMERCE GIANT, JUST OVER 1 MILLION SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS ARE CURRENTLY SELLING ONLINE. MARKETING YOURSELF ONLINE COMES WITH CHALLENGES. THUS, MICRO INFLUENCERS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE. THEY HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS.
SO, TODAY YOU’RE DOING TO LEARN THE THREE C’S OF MARKETING YOURSELF ONLINE AS A MICRO-INFLUENCER!
For example, I use these core, brand colors in my content (website, blog posts, Instagram profile, Pinterest pins, etc.) So, when people see these colors consistently, they begin to associate them with my brand.
Also, your brand’s colors are not arbitrary. Brand colors are an important marketing component. Basically, they are what your audience will begin to expect from you. No one follows (or invests in) a micro influencer they do not know, like, or trust.
As clarification, your brand colors can be pulled from your logo. Below is an example of my logo. Some of the exact same brand colors (that you see in my marketing content) are incorporated in my logo.
So, when you look at my logo you see a flower surrounded by a circle.
The flower symbolizes growth and the Chilean bellflower (heritage)
The circle symbolizes wholeness, unity, and organic perfection
The color green symbolizes growth and roots
The color pink symbolizes love and uniqueness
The color gold symbolizes empowerment and authenticity
Messages you send your audience should be consistent and clear. For example: your core message could be “I help micro-influencers pull from their unique heritage and move real roadblocks in order to create, market, sell their digital products/service”.
For example, my brand values are empowerment, authenticity, growth, love, and uniqueness.
And, when you look at my logo you see symbols of these brand values.
Over all, the year of 2020 has been hard. So, it’s more difficult to collaborate in person. That being said, we can still do this, online! And it’s very effective. For example: In this Instagram post, I talk about anxiety that comes when we are not collaborating with our local community. The frustration and overwhelm is real. However, there are ways we can combat this.
As you can see, collaborating (online) as a micro-influencer is possible!
When we collaborate with micro-influencers (like in collaborative Instagram posts) we get in front of a new audience, organically. This can be achieved by sharing Instagram evergreen content on your Instagram profile.
Evergreen Instagram Content (noun)
content created on topics that stay relevant and valuable for a long period of time. This allows your content to be searchable long-term. These topics will only have minor updates related to data or dates.
For example, content that’s focused on unique trends wouldn’t be evergreen. But, content focused on the following content like “Top 7 Benefits of Implementing Sambucol Supplements Into Your Wellness Routine” serve as great Instagram evergreen content.
Now, do you think that Instagram evergreen content is something you might be interesting in? Come join my Grow Your Reach Workshop . This workshop teaches micro-influencers the methods I’ve been using. These methods have taken my Instagram following from the 100’s to 1,000’s of followers. The workshop teaches micro-influencers how to get paid brand partnerships ($500 minimum). This is taught in just one week!
The truth is, you have to be willing to try new content. You must be okay with seeing some ideas fail. These failures makes your zone of genius laser-focused and clear. So, you must be laser-focused and clear with your content. If you’re not, then your audience definitely won’t be. Also, they will not have a good reason to follow along with your content creating.
For example, I always say…you’re never fully “ready” to start marketing yourself as a micro-influencer. But you need to just START.
So, you should start today.
So, you should start messy.
So, you should start nervous.
At the end of the day, you should JUST START.
Make this blog post your first encouragement to do so! Let’s continue this conversation in the comments! How are you conveying a clear message to your audience as a micro-influencer?
