In 2010, I was in my junior year of high school. I was earnestly wishing for the future “me” to blossom. I envisioned more empowered, independent, and free version of myself. But, the truth is we are always learning. We are always blossoming. We are always growing. And, if you spend too much of your time wishing for the next step, then you’ll never be at peace with your current circumstances.
Being at peace with your circumstances doesn’t mean you are not moving forward. On the contrary, it simply means you find actual peace in your journey of self discovery. You don’t resent what’s been and you don’t fear what’s to come. You live in a state of peaceful motion. Always moving forward with those you love.
Honestly, you can’t go at your influencer journey alone. There is a unique blessing in growing with an empowering community. The genuine, long-term collaborations you gain from that community enhances both you and the other influencers. We are not meant to grow alone. All in all, networking is a key marketing strategy for micro influencers.
There are so many ways you can collaborate in a mutually-beneficial collaboration. You can do Clubhouse rooms, together. Or, you can guest appear on their podcast or blog. Also, you can do an Instagram Live, together. Over all, you get what you GIVE in the world of being micro influencer. So, why not harness your own tribe and totally transform you authentic Growth as a Content Creator this New Year. I’ve connected with influencers from all over the world. Word of mouth is your greatest marketing strategy for micro influencers.
I know, yet another platform to learn. But, hear me out for a moment. Did you know, “When it comes to the average number of videos watched on TikTok, there were more than 1 million videos viewed every day in a year (according to Influencermarketinghub, 2018) Wow, right? In addition, TikTok is a platform mainly aimed at (you guessed it) content creators. And the ease with which anyone can become a content creator, is one of the many ways TikTok has an advantage over the competition. These very real statistics prove that whether you’re a social media marketer or a social media user, TikTok isn’t a force to be taken lightly.
It’s time to pay real serious attention to TikTok (according to Oberlo.com). One of the many benefits (as of now) with TikTok is the ease in which a micro influencer can be seen. It’s far easier to grow on TikTok, in comparison to Instagram, for example. But, we all know Instagram used to be far easier to grow. So, don’t take this current, available opportunities on TikTok for granted.
I guarantee this ease of growth will not last forever. You can start utilizing TikTok today as an amazing marketing strategy for micro influencers. I simply re-distribute videos I’m already sharing on Instagram, Facebook, and my blog.
So, really, I’m not having to create separate content for TikTok. Additionally, video marketing is no longer an “up-and-coming” marketing strategy for micro influencers. It’s currently an increasingly powerful way to communicate your [own] brand story, explain your value proposition, and build [real, genuine] relationships with your customers and prospects (according to blog.hubspot.com).
Make a real intention to give your audience as much value as possible. Though you greatest revenue streams are likely your products and or brand partnerships, you can certainly earn yourself some added revenue by monetizing your apparel, your business tools, shoes, self-care items, gift guides, etc. One of my favorite ways to do this is with my Amazon Shop. I use Amazon for a variety of items, so I love using the platform as an opportunity to help my audience, as well! Why keep all your unique, amazing recommendations to yourself?! There are lots of different apps and platforms that allow you to make your own content shop-able, but these are my two personal favorites. Amazon Influencer Program commission ranges from 5-10 percent. Also, your LIKEtoKNOW.it commission ranges from 5-20 percent. Sure, your income may be “pocket change” at first. But, as time continues and your audience continues to grow, flourish, and expand, then that commission can become a highly significant revenue stream.
